Well, I gotta tell ya, there’s somethin’ real excitin’ goin’ on in Amarillo this year! They’re callin’ it the Yellow City Comic Convention or YC3, and it’s happenin’ right down at the Amarillo Civic Center. You know, it’s one of the biggest pop culture events in the whole West Texas area! And I reckon if you’re anywhere nearby, you won’t wanna miss it.
Now, this ain’t just any ol’ event. Nope, this here is the 7th year of YC3, and they got all sorts of stuff goin’ on—comics, collectables, games, and a whole heap of folks showin’ up to share their love of pop culture. If you’re a fan of superheroes, cartoons, or even just collectin’ fun stuff, this is the place to be.
The convention is comin’ up real soon, y’all, so mark your calendars. It’ll be runnin’ from April 21st to April 23rd, 2023. Yep, three whole days of fun, meetin’ folks, and lookin’ at all the amazing things people bring. The Amarillo Civic Center Complex is gonna be packed with all sorts of booths, panels, and activities for everyone. They’re gonna have some well-known folks from the comic world, and if you’re lucky, you might just run into one of your favorite artists or actors.
What I love most about these big ol’ conventions is the chance to see all the creative things folks been workin’ on. I’ve seen plenty of older folks wanderin’ around, reminiscin’ about the good ol’ days of comics and superheroes.

I heard there’s gonna be all kinds of stalls set up sellin’ everything from autographed comic books to action figures from every corner of pop culture. If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ special, you might just find it right there.
For folks who like to get hands-on, there’s plenty of opportunities to play games too. They got tabletop games, card games, and even video games where you can join in with other fans. It’s a real treat for folks who like a good challenge or just want to have some fun.

Whether you’re into sci-fi, anime, or even just watchin’ movies, you’ll find somethin’ to enjoy. There’s even a chance to meet some of the stars from your favorite shows.
