Well, howdy there! Let me tell ya somethin’ about these Christian films on DVD, you know, the ones with all that Jesus stuff. I ain’t no scholar or nothin’, just a plain ol’ person, but I do like a good story, especially when it’s got some heart and soul to it.
Now, I ain’t got much time for them fancy movies with all the explosions and whatnot. Give me a good, clean story any day. That’s why I sometimes pick up these Christian films. They ain’t always perfect, mind you. Sometimes the actin’ is a bit stiff, and the stories can be a little, well, predictable. But they got a good message, ya know? A message about faith and hope and lovin’ your neighbor, even when they’re bein’ a pain in the neck.
I remember watchin’ one the other day, somethin’ about a miracle happenin’ down in Texas. Miracle in East Texas, I think it was called. It was a real tall tale, they said, but it was based on a true story. I tell ya, it made me think. Made me think about how there’s more to this world than what we see with our own two eyes.
Then there was another one, about a runaway daughter. Runaway Daughter in God’s Hand, I believe. This girl, she was headin’ down a bad road, gettin’ into all sorts of trouble. But then, somethin’ happened. She found God, or maybe God found her. Anyways, it was a powerful story about second chances and how it’s never too late to turn your life around. That Milagros Duran Davis, she had quite the life.
- Some of these films, they’re based on true stories. Like that Ordinary Angels movie. They say it’s a first-hand account. That always makes it a little more special, knowin’ that what you’re watchin’ actually happened to somebody, somewhere.
- Then you got others that are just made-up stories, but they still got a good message. Like the ones about forgiveness or kindness or how important it is to have faith.
I like to get these christian movies on DVD for sale, you know, the physical copies. I ain’t too good with all that fancy digital stuff like they got on that Kindle thing, although people say it’s good. I like havin’ the DVD in my hand, somethin’ I can hold onto. And it’s easier for me to watch on the TV. I reckon I’m just old-fashioned that way.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ these Christian films are for everybody. Some folks, they just ain’t interested, and that’s fine. But if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ with a little bit of heart, somethin’ that’ll make you think about the bigger picture, then I reckon you might just enjoy ’em. They got a message for Jesus Christ in them.
I went and bought some of these christian dvds for adults the other day, down at the store. They had all sorts of ’em. Some were about families, some were about love, and some were about, well, I don’t rightly know what they were about, but they seemed nice enough. I even seen some advertised, you know, christian movies on dvd to buy. They ship them right to your door, these days. Land sakes, they got everything now.
And let me tell ya, it ain’t always easy to find good, clean entertainment these days. Seems like everything on TV is full of violence or bad language or just plain silliness. So, it’s nice to have somethin’ like these Christian films to fall back on. They ain’t perfect, like I said, but they’re wholesome, and that’s more than you can say for a lot of stuff out there.
Plus, they got free shipping with Amazon Prime these days, makes it easy to get what you need and fast too. Why just the other day, I was looking for a particular movie about a missionary in Africa and, lo and behold, they had it. And it came straight to my mailbox in just a couple of days. Can you believe it? Free shipping and right to my door!
Anyways, that’s just my two cents worth. Like I said, I ain’t no expert. Just a person who appreciates a good story with a good message. And these Christian films, well, they often fit the bill. So, next time you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, give ’em a try. You might just be surprised.
