Alright, let’s talk about this chocolate bunny comic thing. You know, the kind kids love, and, well, I ain’t gonna lie, I like a little sweet somethin’ myself sometimes.
Now, I seen some pictures of these chocolate bunnies in them little comic books. They got all sorts of stories, some funny, some kinda weird. One fella, he draws these bunnies, calls ’em Buni, I think. This Buni fella, he’s always happy-lookin’, but things just don’t go his way. It’s like he got a black cloud followin’ him around. The fella who draws him, he don’t use many words, just pictures, but you get the idea. It’s kinda sad, but funny at the same time, you know?
Then there’s this other fella, Mark somethin’-or-other, he draws chocolate bunny cartoons too. His are more for laughin’, I guess. Good for showin’ off at them meetin’s or puttin’ on your… whatchamacallit… the interwebs thingy.
- One thing’s for sure, them chocolate bunnies ain’t cheap no more. Heard tell it’s ’cause the weather’s all messed up and them cocoa beans ain’t growin’ like they used to. Them farmers over in Africa, they ain’t makin’ much money neither. Makes you think twice ’bout bitin’ off them ears, don’t it?
- Speakn’ of ears, them city folk did a study, you know, one of them things where they ask a bunch of people questions. Turns out, most folks eat the ears first. Seventy-somethin’ percent, they said. Then there’s some who eat the feet first, and a few weirdos who go for the tail. Me? I just bite wherever I feel like it. It’s chocolate, ain’t it? Gonna taste good no matter how you eat it.
I saw another picture, one of them fancy chocolate bunnies, all wrapped up in gold foil. Lindt, I think they called it. Said it tasted kinda fruity. Now, I ain’t had nothin’ that fancy, but I bet it’s good. Better be, for the price they probably charge.
There was this other comic, Sally Forth somethin’, showin’ these kids fightin’ over Easter eggs and bunnies, year after year. Kids, always wantin’ the most candy, just like my grand-kids . They fight over everything, chocolate or no chocolate.
This whole chocolate bunny comic thing, it’s kinda silly when you think about it. Pictures of chocolate, drawin’s of bunnies… But I guess it makes folks happy. And in this world, a little happiness ain’t a bad thing. Specially if it comes with a little bit of chocolate. Makes you forget about all the troubles, at least for a little while. Just like when I was young and got a chocolate for easter, made me happy all day.
So, whether you like your bunnies funny or sad, dark or sweet, just enjoy ’em. Life’s too short to worry about whether you’re eatin’ the ears or the feet first. Just eat the darn chocolate and be happy. And maybe share a piece with your old… with your friend. Sharing makes things taste even better, you know?
And that’s all I gotta say about these chocolate bunny comics. They’re just pictures, but they remind you of somethin’ sweet, somethin’ fun. And that’s somethin’ we all need a little bit of now and then.
