Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here Dr. Zhivago film poster. I ain’t no fancy movie expert or nothin’, but I know what I like when I see it. And them posters, they somethin’ else.
First off, they got all sorts of sizes, ya know? Big ones, small ones, some about as big as my kitchen table! They say some are like 27 by 40 inches. That’s a pretty big picture, ain’t it? You could cover up a whole window with that thing.
Now, I seen some posters in my day, but these Dr. Zhivago ones, they somethin’ special. Folks say they roll ’em up in newspaper to keep ’em safe, then stick ’em in this here triangle tube thing. Sounds fancy, but I reckon it keeps ’em from gettin’ all bent outta shape. You don’t want that, not with a purdy picture like that.

Finding one of these posters ain’t always easy, though. You gotta know where to look. Some folks say check them online stores, like that Amazon place. They got all sorts of stuff there, even kitchen stuff, so why not posters? They say * has some too. Lots of choices, I hear.
But me, I like to go to them local shops. You know, the ones that sell all them old knick-knacks and whatnots. They call ’em collectible stores or somethin’. Them folks know their stuff. They can tell ya if it’s a real one or some copycat thing. And that’s important, you know? You don’t want to pay good money for somethin’ that ain’t the real deal.
And speaking of real, I heard tell that some of these old posters, the really old ones, they ain’t even made like they used to be. Used to be, they made ’em on these stones, called litho-somethin’-or-other. Stopped makin’ ’em like that a long time ago, back in the 50s I think. Now they use somethin’ called alpha-celly-lose, made from wood or bamboo or even rice. Imagine that! A picture made outta rice!
Why Folks Like ‘Em
Now, you might be wonderin’ why folks get all worked up over a movie poster. Well, it’s like this. Some folks, they just love the movie. Dr. Zhivago, I heard it was a real big deal, won all sorts of awards. Best picture and all that. So, they want a poster to remember it by. Kinda like how I keep pictures of my grandbabies on the fridge. Just somethin’ to look at and make ya smile.
And some folks, they collect ’em. Like stamps or coins or them little porcelain birds. They like the way they look, the way they feel. They like havin’ somethin’ that ain’t everybody else got. And some of them posters, they can be worth a pretty penny, too. Specially if they’re old and in good shape.
I heard tell of some posters bein’ all dull and faded, like they been sittin’ in the sun too long. But these Dr. Zhivago ones, the good ones, they bright and colorful. You can see all the details, all the purdy faces and such. That’s what makes ‘em special, I reckon.

So, if you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ yourself a Dr. Zhivago movie poster, I say go for it. Just do your homework, make sure you ain’t gettin’ ripped off. And find one you like. Don’t matter if it’s big or small, old or new, just so long as it makes you happy. That’s all that matters, ain’t it?
