So, today I want to talk about this thing called “Brunswick Music on the Mall”. Sounds fancy, right? Well, it’s basically a bunch of free concerts they put on in downtown Brunswick during the summer. I figured, why not check it out?
First things first, I had to figure out where this “Brunswick Town Mall” even was. I mean, I’ve been to Brunswick a few times, but I’m not exactly a local. So, I did what any normal person would do – I used my phone to get directions.
Turns out, it was pretty easy to find. I just followed the little blue dot on my map, and boom, I was there. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but I managed to snag a spot a few blocks away. No biggie.
I got there right around 6 PM, which is when the music was supposed to start. There was already a decent crowd gathered on the green. People had brought blankets, lawn chairs, the whole nine yards. Lots of families, some couples, even a few dogs – it was a real mixed bag.
The Music
The band started playing, and honestly, they were pretty good! I don’t remember their name, which is a bummer, but they played a bunch of upbeat tunes that got people moving. There were a few folks dancing, but mostly people were just chilling out, enjoying the music and the nice weather.
- The Vibe: Super relaxed and friendly.
- The Crowd: A mix of all ages, and very welcoming.
- The Music: Good stuff, even though I can’t remember the band’s name.
I hung out for about an hour, just soaking it all in. It was a really nice way to spend a Wednesday evening. Fresh air, live music, and good company – what more could you ask for?
The Verdict
If you’re ever in Brunswick during the summer, I definitely recommend checking out Music on the Mall. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s a great way to experience the local scene. Just remember to bring a chair or a blanket, and maybe some bug spray if you’re prone to getting bitten.
I’ll probably go back again before the summer’s over. Maybe I’ll even try to find out who’s playing beforehand next time!
