Hey everyone, I just got back from the park. Guess what I did today? I went to the Calabash music concert in the park! Let me tell you all about it.
So, I heard about this thing called the Calabash Summer Concert Series. It’s a bunch of free concerts they hold during the summer. I found out it’s a pretty big deal around here, so I decided to check it out.
First, I looked up where it was. Turns out, the concerts are held at Calabash Town Park. The address is 868 Persimmon Rd, pretty easy to find. They happen every Tuesday evening, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. That’s a good chunk of time to enjoy some music, right?
I packed up some snacks and a blanket, and I headed out to the park. When I arrived, I saw that they even had food trucks! I spotted Kona Ice and Dixieland Kettle Corn – yum. There were so many people, lots of families and groups of friends all gathered around. It was a great vibe.
The music was awesome. I learned that they have different bands playing each week. Today, there was a band, but I’m not sure who they are. Maybe they are those called Ron Moody and the Centaurs, or the other ones called On The Border. It doesn’t matter, they were great! Everyone was singing along, dancing, and just having a good time.
I also noticed some signs for other concerts coming up. This week one is The Music of Genesis, Phil Collins & Peter Gabriel. Sounds interesting, right? I might have to go back for that one.
Here’s what I did:
- Checked the event schedule online – it’s called the Calabash Summer Concert Series.
- Found the location – Calabash Town Park, 868 Persimmon Rd.
- Planned my evening – Tuesdays, 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
- Went to the park and enjoyed the music, the food trucks, and the atmosphere!
All in all, it was a fantastic evening. If you’re ever in Calabash on a Tuesday during the summer, you definitely need to check out the music in the park. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s a great way to spend a summer evening. I’m already looking forward to going back!
