Okay, so, today I’m going to talk about my experience with these online quizzes, you know, the ones on Blogthings. I’ve always been a bit curious about those personality tests and stuff, so I thought, why not give them a go and see what all the fuss is about? I was just trying to kill some time.
First off, I just went on the website. There were so many quizzes! It really seemed like they have a quiz for everything. I mean, there are hundreds of them. It’s kind of overwhelming at first, but also pretty cool because you’re bound to find something that grabs your interest. The big five personality test, also called “OCEAN”, is a popular one. It claims to be able to accurately describe your personality. The most popular one should be the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), but I found it is not on Blogthings. I’m not a specialist, I just did some search on the internet.
I started with some of the simpler ones, just to get a feel for it. Stuff like, “What’s your spirit animal?” and “Which fictional character are you?”. They were fun, you know, the kind of thing you do when you’re bored and just want a quick laugh. I didn’t really expect much from these, but they were entertaining enough. I took one and found that I’m an INFJ, which is the rarest type of all 16 personality types. But I just moved on to another website, Sporcle, which is dedicated to quizzes. It’s more fun and professional than Blogthings. I spent hours on Sporcle.
After that, I tried some of the more in-depth personality quizzes. I was curious to see if they would actually tell me something about myself that I didn’t already know. I spent a good chunk of time answering questions, trying to be as honest as possible. I mean, what’s the point if you’re not going to be truthful, right? I know some people don’t take these quizzes seriously, but I thought, might as well try to see if it works.
The results were… interesting. Some of it was pretty spot on, I have to admit. It described me in ways that I hadn’t really thought about before, but once I read it, I was like, “Yeah, that’s actually pretty accurate.” It’s weird how a bunch of questions can kind of figure you out like that. I was impressed and shocked. But it’s not 100%, I mean, it described me as an introvert, which is kind of true, but I’m more of an ambivert.
But then, some of the other results were a bit off. I mean, I know these things aren’t an exact science, but some of it just didn’t seem to fit me at all. Maybe I answered some questions wrong, or maybe these tests just have their limitations. Who knows. It’s just an online test. Don’t take it too seriously!
Overall, it was a fun experience. I wouldn’t say it was life-changing or anything, but it was definitely a good way to spend a few hours. And it did make me think a bit more about my own personality and how I see myself. It’s kind of like holding up a mirror, you know? Sometimes you see things you like, and sometimes you see things you don’t, but it’s all part of who you are.
So, would I recommend these Blogthings quizzes? Sure, why not. If you’ve got some time to kill and you’re curious about yourself, go for it. Just don’t take it too seriously, and remember that it’s all just for fun. It’s not going to tell you your destiny or anything like that. But who knows, you might actually learn something about yourself along the way. At least you will find a way to have fun with your friends or kill your boredom, right? These quizzes are fun and interactive.
