Okay, here is my story about going to see a WWE event in Ottawa, Ontario:
So, I’ve been a huge WWE fan since I was a kid. I mean, I grew up watching all those crazy matches and dreaming of seeing it live one day. Well, that dream finally came true! I heard that WWE Raw was coming to the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, and I just knew I had to go.
First things first, I grabbed my tickets online. It was pretty easy, honestly. They had different price ranges, so I found something that fit my budget. I printed out the confirmation email, ’cause you never know with technology, right? Better safe than sorry. I also heard that there might be some restrictions with bags. And I found that they only accept the bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12”x12”x6”.
Then came the planning part. I checked out the venue’s website to see what the deal was with parking. They had a whole section about it, which was super helpful. I ended up booking a parking spot in advance, just to avoid any hassle on the day of the event.
The big day finally arrived! I got to the Canadian Tire Centre early, ’cause I didn’t want to miss a single thing. The energy outside was electric, with fans all decked out in their favorite wrestler’s gear. I even saw a guy dressed as The Rock!
Getting into the arena was pretty smooth. They had people checking tickets and bags. Speaking of bags, they were serious about that no big bags rule. I just brought a small, clear one for my phone, wallet, and keys. It was not a problem at all. I heard that this show will also be broadcast on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, and WWE Friday Night SmackDown will continue being broadcast Friday nights at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network. The Raw show was supposed to last 3 hours long while the SmackDown runs for 2 hours. Similarly, I know that WWE NXT is broadcast every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET and runs for 2 hours. I was so excited about that!
Once I was inside, I found my seat, and let me tell you, the atmosphere was insane! The lights, the music, the crowd—it was all so much more intense in person. I even grabbed a hot dog and a soda from one of the concession stands. Gotta have those arena snacks, you know?
The matches were incredible. I saw some of my all-time favorite superstars live, and they did not disappoint. There were some crazy high-flying moves, some intense smack-talk, and a whole lot of drama. It’s all scripted and choreographed, yeah, but it’s still pretty dangerous. And man, is it dramatic!
- Getting Tickets: Bought them online, no problem.
- Planning: Checked parking and bag rules beforehand.
- Arriving: Got there early, soaked in the atmosphere.
- Entering: Smooth process, bag check was a breeze.
- Inside: Grabbed snacks, found my seat, enjoyed the madness.
- The Show: Awesome matches, intense crowd, unforgettable experience.
The Aftermath
After the show, I was on such a high. I ended up buying a t-shirt from one of the merchandise stands as a souvenir. I mean, how could I not? It was a bit pricey, but hey, it’s a memory I’ll have forever. Considering the attendance and the widespread popularity of the WWE in Ottawa, I bet they will return in no time. I really had a good time.
Getting out of the parking lot took a little while, but that was expected. Everyone was leaving at the same time, all hyped up from the show. I just put on some music and chilled in my car until the traffic died down.
All in all, it was an amazing experience. If you’re a WWE fan and you ever get the chance to see a show live, do it! You won’t regret it. It’s a whole different world compared to watching it on TV. Trust me on this one.
