Okay, so, let’s talk about this Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara. I’ve been seeing it everywhere and, you know, I had to try it out. I mean, who doesn’t want “full body volume” for their lashes, right?
First off, I picked up the waterproof version. My eyes tend to water a bit, especially during allergy season, so I always go for waterproof. It was a bit pricier than my usual drugstore mascara, but I figured, hey, it’s Lancome, let’s see what the hype is about.
Unboxed it, the packaging is pretty standard, nothing too fancy. The wand is, I guess you’d call it, curved? I don’t know, it’s got a bit of a bend to it. Anyway, I curled my lashes like I always do – gotta get that lift, you know? Then I went in with the mascara.
- The formula is kinda thick, which I wasn’t sure about at first. But it coated my lashes pretty well.
- I did a couple of coats, just to see how buildable it was. It definitely added some volume, not gonna lie.
- My lashes looked fuller, for sure. And they stayed curled all day, which is a big win for me.
Now, the real test was whether it would hold up throughout the day. I wore it to work, ran some errands, even got caught in a little bit of rain. And guess what? No smudging, no flaking, nothing. My lashes still looked pretty good by the end of the day.
Final thoughts?
It’s a decent mascara. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. It does what it says it does – it gives you volume, it’s waterproof, and it lasts. Is it worth the price? Maybe, if you’re looking for something that really stays put and gives you that dramatic lash look. I’d say it’s a good one to have in your makeup bag, especially if you have issues with your mascara running or smudging. I just applied it and enjoyed my day with dramatic lashes. Not too bad, Lancome, not too bad.
