So, I’ve been messing around with this thing called Hoosierland TV lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride. I heard about it from a buddy who’s always on top of this kind of stuff. He said it was the place to check out for some solid High School Football action, and well, I’m a sucker for a good game. So, I decided to give it a whirl.
First off, I tried to get to the site, and guess what? My browser’s acting all confused. It’s giving me this weird message like, “Your browser does not support frames. We recommend upgrading your browser.” What does that even mean? I’m not some tech whiz, you know?
Anyway, I eventually figured out how to get there, sort of. Then it hit me, there are tons of channels, like, too many to choose from. My head was spinning trying to figure out what was on. I was just trying to find the football games, but there were all these other shows and movies listed too. It is like that TV Guide thing I used to see at my grandma’s place, but on the computer.
I saw something about selecting a provider. Is that my cable company? I clicked around a bit, kind of aimlessly, just hoping to stumble upon the right thing. I ended up on a page that looked like a schedule, I think. It had a bunch of channel names and showtimes. That’s a bit more like it. I mean, at least now I know what is on tonight, not just some random list of stuff. I guess it’s like looking up what’s on TV right now, but it took me a while to get to that point.
Finally, after a lot of trial and error, I found the section for High School Football. And they weren’t kidding, this weekend is packed! They’re saying the games are “LIVE and WORLDWIDE free.” Pretty cool, right? Although, I have no idea how they are going to do that “WORLDWIDE” thing.
- I looked around some more and saw some mentions of “TMDB”. Apparently, that’s “The Movie Database” and it’s “popular”. Whatever that means. I was just there for the football games, man.
- There’s also this Heartland channel. Never heard of it, but they have a schedule listed. More options, I suppose.
All in all, it wasn’t the smoothest experience. Hoosierland TV has a lot going on, and it took me a while to find what I was looking for. But hey, at least I can catch some football games this weekend. That’s a win in my book. Maybe I’ll get the hang of it eventually, but for now, I’m just glad I figured out enough to watch the games.
