Today, I messed around with this thing called a keypad TV. Sounds kinda weird, right? It all started when I saw this retro-style keyboard online. I was thinking, “Man, that looks cool,” and then I thought, “Could I actually use this with my tablet or something?”
So, I started looking into it. Turns out, there are a bunch of these vintage-looking keyboards out there. Some connect with Bluetooth, others with wires, you know, the usual. I really like the look of those old-school typewriters, and these keyboards kinda capture that vibe. It’s like, bringing a little bit of the past into the present. Plus, it is interesting to me that there are still some old-style phones with actual keypads. Like, not touchscreens, but real buttons you press. I guess some people still like that tactile feeling. Also, I found a keyboard, the Logitech K120, that’s just a simple, plug-in keyboard. It looked pretty solid, and the reviews said it’s comfortable and quiet.
I ended up ordering one of those retro keyboards. It is Bluetooth, so I should be able to use it with my tablet and laptop, and maybe my phone. I figured it might be fun to type on. And maybe, just maybe, it’ll make me feel a little more productive.
Here is how it went when the keyboard arrived:
- First, I unboxed it. It came with a charging cable and a little manual.
- Then, I charged it up. It took a couple of hours to fully charge.
- Next, I paired it with my tablet. It was pretty easy, just turned on Bluetooth on both devices and followed the instructions.
- After that, I tried typing on it. It felt a little weird at first because of the round keys.
- Finally, I actually got used to it, and I gotta say, it’s kinda fun to type on.
I even found myself writing a bit more than usual. Who knew a keyboard could do that?
So, that’s my little adventure with this keypad TV thing. It’s not really a TV, obviously, but it’s a fun way to type on different devices. If you’re into that vintage look or just want a different typing experience, you might want to check these out. It is definitely a conversation starter, at the very least!
