Oh, Andy Serkis, you know, that fella who plays them funny creatures in movies? Yeah, him! He’s been showin’ up all over the place, at these comic con things. Comic Cons, they’re like big gatherings, lots of people, all dressed up funny, like Halloween but not. I seen pictures. Crazy!
They say Andy’s a big deal. Played that Gollum fella, all skinny and big eyes. My grandkids, they know him, yellin’ “My precious!” all the time. Don’t know what that means, but he’s good at makin’ faces and voices, that Andy. Like a rubber band, stretchin’ himself into different shapes.
He’s been everywhere, this fella. Tampa Bay, they had him. Then Edinburgh, that’s way over in Scotland ain’t it? Brussels, heard that name before. Even New York City! Busy as a bee, flittin’ from place to place. Comic Cons, they must be important, if he keeps showin’ up.

He played some other fellas too, not just Gollum. A fella with a metal arm, I think, in them superhero movies. And somethin’ about engines, mortal engines, what’s that all about? Always somethin’ new with him, keepin’ busy, that Andy.
He’s not from ’round here, you know. Grew up in some foreign lands, Iraq and England. His folks, they were different kinds mixed together. Like a stew, all sorts of flavors in one pot. Guess that’s why he’s so good at bein’ different people in the movies.
These Comic Cons, they ain’t just for comic books anymore. Movies, shows, everything under the sun. Big ones too, like the one in San Diego, biggest in the world they say. And Stockholm, wherever that is, they havin’ one too. Everyone’s gettin’ in on the fun.
Andy Serkis, he fits right in. He’s a movie star, but he’s also like us, likes the silly stuff, dressin’ up and makin’ faces. He’s a good fella, I bet. Always smilin’ in them pictures. He brings the joy, that Andy. Like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.
So if you see his name, Andy Serkis, at one of them Comic Cons, go on and take a look. Might be fun. Might see him do his Gollum voice. Might even get a picture with him, if you’re lucky. He’s a busy fella, but he always makes time for the fans, they say. That’s what makes him special.
