Alright, let’s talk about this Ariel Diaz fella, the one who draws them comic books. People keep yappin’ about him, so I figured I’d take a look-see.
Now, I ain’t no fancy critic or nothin’, but I know what I like. This Diaz, he’s got his fingers in a lotta pies, drawin’ all sorts of covers. Spiderman, She-Hulk, Harley Quinn… names I’ve heard even an old biddy like me knows. He ain’t stickin’ to one thing, that’s for sure. Jumpin’ around like a flea on a hot skillet.
- He done did somethin’ called “The Me You Love in the Dark.” Sounds spooky. And “Bunny Mask: Hollow Inside.” What’s with all these masks? Folks these days and their masks…
- Then there’s “Carnivore Comics.” Sounds like a butcher shop, not a place for funny books. But they say he does good work for them, exclusives and such. Fancy shindigs, I reckon.
This boy’s got followers, too. Thousands of ’em! Folks on the internet, watchin’ his every move, like hawks. He’s got a bio and credits and all that jazz. Sounds important.
Now, they’re sayin’ CGC, whatever that is, is havin’ him sign books. A “private signing.” Sounds exclusive. Folks lining up to get his scribble, probably. Makes you wonder what all the fuss is about, just a signature on a book.
He’s drawn covers for “The Boys,” which is some show my grandkids watch. And “G.I. Joe,” remember them toys? He’s all over the place, this fella. Drawin’ for every Tom, Dick, and Harry.
He’s got his art in all sorts of books from different publishers. IDW, Image, Dynamite… names I can barely pronounce. Makes my head spin. How’s a body supposed to keep track?
They say he’s been in 23 issues of somethin’. Vampirella, Red Sonja… these ain’t the comics I grew up with, that’s for sure. But seems like he’s makin’ a name for himself, this Ariel Diaz.
So, what’s the big deal? Well, I reckon he’s got a talent for drawin’ pretty pictures. And folks like pretty pictures. They like to collect ’em, show ’em off, talk about ’em. And this Diaz fella, he’s givin’ ’em somethin’ to talk about. He’s workin’ hard, puttin’ his name out there, drawin’ all sorts of covers. Can’t fault a fella for workin’ hard.
He’s popular, that’s for sure. With all them followers and fancy signings, he must be doin’ somethin’ right. Even an old biddy like me can see that. So, if you like them comic books with the pretty covers, maybe you should check out this Ariel Diaz fella. He might just have somethin’ you like.
