Well now, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here “Battle Cats Comic”, y’know, the one them young’uns are always yappin’ about. I ain’t no fancy city slicker, but I can tell ya what I see, plain and simple.
First off, this Battle Cats thing, it ain’t just some newfangled nonsense. It’s been around for a while, see? Started way back in 2012, over in Japan and Korea. Them folks over there, they like their games and comics just like we like our corn on the cob, I reckon. They had this here game on them phone thingies, and I guess it got so popular, they made a comic outta it. Smart, them fellers are, makin’ money every which way they can.
Now, this comic, it’s about these cats, see? Not your regular ol’ farm cats, mind you. These cats are warriors, adventurers, goin’ on some big quest. There’s this fella named Kelthan, and a gal named Vaela, and a bunch of others with names I can’t hardly pronounce. Zorien, Kaleera, Mekkar… sounds like somethin’ you’d cough up after eatin’ too much dust, if ya ask me.
The Story, As Best As I Can Tell Ya
Anyways, these cats, they’re chasin’ after this “Beast” thing. Sounds scary, right? I bet it’s big and mean, like that ol’ bull we had back on the farm. But this Beast ain’t just some animal, I don’t think. It’s got somethin’ to do with “dark secrets” and “darker enemies”. Spooky stuff, if you ask me. But them cats, they ain’t afraid. They’re tough, like them old boots I wear every day. They go traipsin’ through all sorts of places, fightin’ and clawin’ their way to the end.
- The Heroes: Like I said, there’s Kelthan, Vaela, Zorien, Kaleera, and Mekkar. They’re the main cats, the ones doin’ all the heavy liftin’. I reckon they’re like the good guys in them old cowboy movies.
- The Quest: They’re lookin’ for this Beast, and along the way, they gotta uncover secrets and fight bad guys. Sounds like a lot of work to me. I’d rather just sit on the porch and drink some lemonade.
- The Bad Guys: Every story’s gotta have bad guys, right? Well, this one’s got ’em too. “Darker enemies,” they call ’em. Probably meaner than a rattlesnake in a woodpile.
Now, I ain’t read the whole thing, mind you. My eyes ain’t what they used to be, and all them fancy pictures and words, they make my head spin. But from what I gather, it’s one of them adventure stories, full of action and excitement. Them cats are always gettin’ into scrapes, fightin’ monsters and whatnot. It’s like a barnyard brawl, but with more fur and less feathers.
What About The Game?
Like I said before, this whole thing started with a game on them phones. I heard tell there’s all sorts of cats in that game, some good, some bad. There’s this one cat, a Cheetah Cat they call it, and it’s about as useless as a screen door on a submarine. Doesn’t move fast, doesn’t attack, takes forever to come back… Sounds like my old mule, bless his heart. But I reckon that’s just one bad apple in the bunch.
Anyways, the game was real popular for a while, but then I heard they shut it down. Maybe folks got tired of it, or maybe the company just didn’t want to keep it goin’. Things come and go, I always say. Like the seasons, or a good rainstorm.
So, Is It Any Good?
Well, that depends on what you like, I guess. If you’re into them fantasy stories with fightin’ and magic and all that, then you might like it. Them pictures are pretty, I gotta say. Colorful and lively. And the story, well, it’s a story. Got heroes and villains and a big adventure. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that.

Me? I’ll stick to my stories ’round the fire, thank you very much. But them young’uns, they seem to like this Battle Cats thing. So, I reckon it must be doin’ somethin’ right.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens. Them critters are always hungry, just like them battle cats, I imagine.
