Well now, let me tell ya, this here Black Clover thing, it’s somethin’ else. Folks keep talkin’ about it, and I figured I’d poke around and see what all the fuss is about. Heard tell there’s this boy, Asta, can’t use no magic, which is a right shame in a world where magic is everything. Sounds like a tough row to hoe, that’s for sure. Like tryin’ to farm with a broken hoe, ain’t gonna get ya far.
Now, this boy Asta, he ain’t one to give up, no sir. He’s got this friend, or maybe a rival, Yuno, and seems like Yuno got himself snatched up by somebody. Real pickle, that is. Folks are all worked up about it, chapters and verses flyin’ around, talkin’ ’bout chapter 374 and such. I ain’t read it myself, too much squintin’ for these old eyes, but the young’uns, they’re all a-twitter about it. They say Yuno’s captor was mighty powerful, like a bull in a china shop, just wreckin’ everything.
- They say there’s this kingdom, Clover, and it’s in a right mess.
- Seems like this Lucius fella is talkin’ ’bout some day of judgment, which don’t sound good at all.
- And Asta, poor boy, he’s gone missin’. Probably off tryin’ to save the day, that’s the kind of fella he seems to be. Reminds me of my grandpappy, always chargin’ headfirst into trouble.
Then there’s all this talk about “Rule 34”. Now, I ain’t quite sure what that’s all about, but the young’uns giggle and whisper about it. Seems like it has somethin’ to do with pictures, and videos too, maybe? They’re lookin’ at these things on their fancy phones and computin’ machines. I seen some of them pictures, though I probably shouldn’t have. Lands sakes! Folks sure do have a wild imagination these days. Drawin’ all sorts of things, they are. They got pictures of that Noelle girl, the one with the water magic I think. She’s a pretty thing, but I don’t know why they draw her in all those funny ways.
You can watch this here Black Clover on somethin’ called Crunchyroll. Don’t ask me what that is, sounds like some kind of breakfast cereal to me. But the young’uns, they know all about it. They sit there starin’ at their screens, watchin’ these stories unfold. And then they find these “doujinshi” and “comics,” which are just more stories, I reckon. Heard tell there’s a whole bunch of ’em, nine at least, all free for the lookin’. They got pictures, and stories, and all sorts of things. It’s a whole ‘nother world, I tell ya.
It’s a funny thing, this Black Clover. It’s got magic and fightin’ and all sorts of carryin’ on. But it’s also got heart, I think. That Asta boy, he might not have magic, but he’s got grit. He’s got determination. And that’s somethin’ you can’t learn from no book or no fancy computin’ machine. That’s somethin’ you gotta have deep down in your gut. He’s like a weed, that boy, always pushin’ through, no matter how tough things get. And that’s why folks like him, I reckon. He reminds them that even when you got nothin’, you can still be somethin’. You can still make a difference. You can still fight for what’s right.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, or somethin’ to read, or somethin’ to just plain get your mind off things, give this here Black Clover a try. It might just surprise ya. Just be careful with that “Rule 34” stuff, though. Some of it ain’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. But then again, life ain’t for the faint of heart neither, is it?
