Well, hello there! You wanna know about this… this… film and TV journal thing, huh? Alright, alright, I’ll tell ya. It ain’t rocket science, you know. It’s just like keepin’ track of the things you watch on that there… the TV thingy. And them… movies, yeah, movies!
First off, you gotta get yourself a notebook. Don’t go spendin’ a lot of money on somethin’ fancy. Just a plain ol’ notebook will do. You know, the kind them kids use for school? Yeah, that’ll work just fine.
Now, on the first page, you gotta write somethin’ pretty, like, you know, a title. Somethin’ like “My TV and Movie Stuff” or “What I Watched.” You can even draw some pictures if you’re fancy like that. I ain’t no artist, so I just write big letters. Make it look nice, you know?
Then, you gotta make some pages for different things. Like, one page for the stuff people tell you to watch. You know, when your neighbor, that busybody Mrs. Johnson, says, “Oh, you gotta watch this show, it’s so good!” Yeah, write that down. Call it somethin’ like “Stuff to Watch” or “Mrs. Johnson’s Blabbering” – whatever helps you remember.
- Recommended Shows: Here you write down everything people tell you to watch. Your friends, your family, even that know-it-all at the grocery store.
- What I Watched: This is where you keep track of what you actually watched. You can write the name of the show or movie, when you watched it, and maybe even a little note about whether you liked it or not.
- To Be Seen: This page is for all the things you want to watch but haven’t gotten around to yet. You can write down the names of movies and shows you hear about or see previews for.
Okay, so next, you need a page for what you actually watched. This is important, so you don’t forget what you saw. You can write down the name of the show or movie and when you watched it. If you’re feelin’ fancy, you can even write a little bit about it. Like, “That show was real sad,” or “That movie had too much shootin’.” Keep it simple, you know? Ain’t nobody got time for long-winded stories.
I like to separate things out, you see? I got a page for my TV shows, the ones that go on and on. And then I got another page for movies, those things that are over in a couple of hours. Makes it easier to find stuff, you know? I ain’t got the best memory, so I gotta keep things organized.
You can even make a special page for them… what do you call ‘em… animes? Yeah, those Japanese cartoons. My grandson, he loves them things. So, I got a special page just for him. He writes down the names, and I try to keep up. Sometimes, I even watch them with him. They’re kinda crazy, but some are pretty good.
And for all them shows and movies you wanna watch but ain’t got around to yet? Yeah, you need a page for that too. Call it “Gotta Watch This” or “Someday, Maybe.” That way, you don’t forget. You know, sometimes you hear about somethin’ and then, poof, it’s gone from your head. This way, you got it written down, ready for when you got nothin’ else to do.
Another thing I do, I write down the year. You know, so I know when I watched it. Like, “Watched this in 2024.” It helps, you know, when you’re tryin’ to remember if you saw somethin’ already. ’Cause sometimes, you watch somethin’ and then, a few years later, you watch it again and think, “Hey, this is new!” But it ain’t. You just forgot.
Some folks, they like to make their journals all pretty, with colors and drawings and stickers. Me? I just write. Keep it simple, that’s my motto. But you do whatever makes you happy. It’s your journal, ain’t nobody gonna tell you how to do it.
And if you’re watchin’ a lot of shows, like them series things, you might wanna make a special page to keep track. You know, write down the season and the episode. That way, you don’t get lost. ’Cause some of them shows, they got a whole lot of episodes. It’s like tryin’ to keep track of all your chickens – they all look the same after a while!
So, that’s it. That’s how you make a film and TV journal. It ain’t hard. Just write down what you watch, what you wanna watch, and what people tell you to watch. And don’t forget to write the year! It’ll help you remember, trust me. Now, go on and watch some TV. And don’t forget to write it down!
