Well, hey there, y’all! Let me tell ya ’bout this here Acorn Music Festival 2024. Heard tell it’s gonna be somethin’ special, happening down in Three Oaks. They say it’s the second time they’re doin’ this thing, so I guess it was pretty good last year, or folks wouldn’t be goin’ back for more, right?
Now, they’re callin’ it a three-day shin-dig, from June 14th all the way to the 16th. That’s a whole lotta music, if you ask me. They got more than 15 of them artists playin’, all different kinds, I reckon. Folks are sayin’ it’s all about that American music, the kind that’s been around forever. You know, the stuff your grandpappy used to listen to, maybe with a little bit of new-fangled stuff mixed in.
- When’s it happenin’? June 14th, 15th, and 16th. Mark your calendars, folks!
- Where’s it at? 107 Generations Drive, Three Oaks. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
- What kind of music? They’re sayin’ folk music and all sorts of stuff that sounds like it. Good for tappin’ your feet, I bet.
I heard tell they got some big names playin’, folks from all over the place. Not just from around here, but from way yonder too. They got a website, JamBase, I think they called it. You can go look at who’s playin’, but I ain’t got no time for that internet stuff. Too complicated for an old gal like me.
Now, they’re sellin’ tickets for this thing. You gotta pay to get in, ain’t nothin’ free in this world, that’s for sure. But if you like music, and you like havin’ a good time, then I reckon it might be worth the money. They got tickets for all three days, or you can just go for one day if you ain’t got the stamina for the whole shebang.
They say last year, they played music for four to six hours every night! That’s a long time to be standin’ around, but I guess if the music’s good, time flies, right? And this year, they sayin’ it’s gonna be bigger and better. More music, more fun, more everything. They must be expectin’ a big crowd, I tell ya what.
Three Oaks, that’s where it’s at. I ain’t never been there myself, but I heard it’s a nice little town. Plenty of places to stay, they say, if you’re comin’ from far away. Hotels and motels and such. Or you could just camp out, if you’re feelin’ adventurous. Me? I’d rather sleep in my own bed, thank you very much.
This here festival, it sounds like a good time for the whole family. Kids and grown-ups alike. They’ll have food and drinks, I’m sure, so you won’t go hungry. And plenty of room to dance, if that’s your thing. Me? I’m too old for dancin’, but I like to watch other folks have a good time.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do this June, you might wanna check out this Acorn Music Festival. It sounds like it’s gonna be a real hootenanny. Just remember to bring your dancin’ shoes, or at least a comfortable chair to sit in. And don’t forget your wallet, ’cause like I said, ain’t nothin’ free in this world.
