Hey there, y’all! Let’s gab about these “trending quizzes,” you know, the ones all them young’uns are doin’ on their phones all day long. I ain’t too good with this here internet stuff, but my grandkid showed me some, and well, they’re somethin’ else, I tell ya.
What are these trending quizzes anyway?
Well, from what I gather, they’re like them little questionnaires you used to find in magazines, only now they’re on this here “world wide web.” Folks make ’em ’bout all sorts of things. Like, one I saw was, “Only 1% Of People Can Correctly Identify These TV Shows Based On One…” I reckon it means they show you a picture or somethin’ and you gotta guess the show. Sounds tricky, but them young’uns, they seem to like it.
Then there’s them personality quizzes. They ask you a bunch of questions ’bout what you like and how you act, and then they tell you what kind of person you are. One was like, “Are you a type A, B, C or D personality? if you were in a show, what would your fanbase be? take this quiz if you have ever been a girl.” Now, I ain’t no A, B, C, or D, I’m just me! And I ain’t been a girl in a long, long time, but I guess it’s fun for some folks.
Another one I saw was kinda silly. It said, “Build Yourself A Salad To Reveal Which Season You Are. Croutons just give…” Imagine that! A salad tellin’ you if you’re a summer or a winter person. The things they come up with these days!
Why are folks so crazy ’bout these quizzes?
Beats me! But from what I hear, it’s ’cause they’re fun and easy to do. You can just click, click, click, and then you get an answer. And some of ’em are pretty funny, or make you think a little. Plus, I guess folks like sharin’ their results with their friends. That’s what my grandkid does anyway. Always showin’ me what kind of potato she is, or what movie star she’s most like.
- They’re short and sweet: Nobody wants to sit there all day answerin’ questions. These quizzes are quick and to the point.
- They’re relatable: They ask about stuff folks actually care about, like TV shows, movies, and what kind of food you like.
- They’re shareable: Like I said, folks love to show off their results. It’s like a way of sayin’, “Hey, look at me! I’m this kind of person!”
Where do they even find these quizzes?
Well, seems like they’re all over the place on this here internet. My grandkid showed me a site called, “* is a free online quiz making tool. Make quizzes, send them viral. Generate leads.” Sounds like anybody can make one of these quizzes if they want. And then they try to make it “viral,” which I reckon means they want everybody to see it. And seems like some folks use them quizzes for business too, to “Generate leads”, whatever that means. It’s all a bit much for an old gal like me.
And then there’s these places that just collect all the popular quizzes in one spot. Like one called, “Discover the latest and most popular quizzes on Trending Quizzes. Test your knowledge, personality, and more with our fun and interactive online quizzes.” So, if you’re lookin’ for a quiz to take, you can just go there and pick one. Kinda like a candy store, but for quizzes.
Are they any good?
Well, I dunno. Some of ’em seem kinda silly to me. But if folks are havin’ fun, then I guess that’s all that matters. It ain’t hurtin’ nobody, as far as I can tell. And who knows, maybe you’ll even learn somethin’ about yourself. Or maybe you’ll just find out what kind of cheese you are. Either way, it’s somethin’ to pass the time, I suppose. Better than sittin’ around watchin’ the grass grow, ain’t it?
So, there you have it. My take on these “trending quizzes.” I still don’t quite understand ’em, but I reckon they’re here to stay. Just another one of them newfangled things these young’uns are into. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. No fancy salads for me, just good ol’ meat and potatoes.
