Okay, so today I really got into making some quizzes about Percy Jackson. You know, the book series with the Greek gods and everything? I’ve been a huge fan since, like, forever, and I thought it would be fun to make some quizzes about it.
First, I started by brainstorming some ideas. What kind of quizzes could I make? Character quizzes are always a hit, so I decided to definitely include one of those. “Which Percy Jackson Character Are You?” Yeah, that sounds about right. I jotted down some other ideas, too, like maybe a trivia quiz about the different books or one about the Greek gods and monsters that appear in the series.
- Which Percy Jackson character are you?
- Which book is the character in?
- Match the characters
Then, I got to work on the character quiz. I made a list of all the main characters – Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Luke, you name it. Then, I thought about their personalities. Like, Percy is brave and loyal, Annabeth is super smart, and Grover is, well, a satyr. So I started writing questions that would kinda tease out these traits in the quiz taker. “What would you do if a monster attacked?” or “How do you feel about school?” Stuff like that.
After that, I moved on to the trivia quiz. This one was a bit tougher. I had to go back through the books and pick out some good questions. I didn’t want them to be too easy, but also not impossible, you know? So I tried to find a good balance. “What’s the name of Percy’s sword?” is a good one. Or, “Who is Percy’s dad?” – classic stuff.
Difficulties and Solutions
Of course, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. I ran into a few snags. Like, for the “Match the Characters” quiz, I initially wanted to include like a million characters, but then I realized that would be way too overwhelming. So I scaled it back to just the main ones. And for the character quiz, it was kinda hard to write questions that would accurately place someone as, say, Clarisse, without making it super obvious. I wrestled with that for a while, but eventually, I think I figured out some good ones.
Finally, I put everything together. It took a while, but I was pretty happy with how it all turned out. I even tested them out on some friends, and they seemed to enjoy them. Although, one friend got mad that she got Nico di Angelo instead of Annabeth, but whatever. Overall, it was a super fun day of geeking out and making stuff. I highly recommend it if you’re a Percy Jackson fan, or just a fan of making quizzes in general.
