Alright, alright, settle down now, y’all. Let’s talk about them…what-cha-ma-call-its… quizzes for nerds. Yeah, them brainy folks who like to think a whole lot. Don’t get me wrong, ain’t nothin’ wrong with bein’ smart, but some of this stuff, I swear, it’s like they speakin’ a different language. But hey, if it makes ’em happy, who am I to judge?
So, I hear tell there’s all kinds of quizzes for these nerds out there. Thousands of ’em, they say. Makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it. Some kinda website, * or somethin’, lets folks make up their own quizzes. Can you believe that? People sittin’ around makin’ up questions just for the fun of it. Well, I guess it keeps ’em busy. They got quizzes to test how nerdy you are, what *kind* of nerd you are. Like, are you a computer whiz, or maybe you’re all about them comic books. Seems like there’s a nerd for everything these days.
- They got quizzes that ask you all sorts of serious questions, you know, stuff that makes you scratch your head.
- And then they got them funny ones, the ones that make you chuckle a bit, even if you don’t quite get the joke.
One place they call Sporcle, it’s got a whole bunch of these nerdy quizzes. You can play ’em online, test your knowledge on all sorts of stuff. I tried one once, about…uh…space. Planets and stars and whatnot. Let me tell you, I didn’t do so good. Too many big words for this old gal. But them nerds, they love it. They get all excited about gettin’ the right answers, braggin’ about their scores. Good for them, I say. Keeps ’em outta trouble, I reckon.
Then there’s them trivia quizzes. You know, the ones where they ask you a bunch of questions and you gotta try and remember the answers. They got these geeky trivia quizzes, they call ’em. Same kinda thing, just with more nerdy stuff. Three rounds of ten questions, they say. Sounds like a lot of thinkin’ to me. But them nerds, they eat it up. They love showin’ off how much they know. And hey, learnin’ ain’t a bad thing, even if it’s about spaceships and superheroes.
I even heard tell of a “Nerd Test,” a real famous one, they say. It’s supposed to figure out just how much of a nerd you are. I bet some folks take that test real serious, wantin’ to be the nerdiest nerd of ’em all. Sounds kinda silly to me, but like I said, to each their own. There are even these things called “Make-a-word” quizzes or somethin’. Sounds complicated. Probably all about fancy vocabulary. Not my cup of tea, that’s for sure.
But you know what? At the end of the day, whether you’re a nerd or not, it don’t really matter. What matters is bein’ a good person, treatin’ folks right. That’s what I always say. But if them quizzes make these folks happy, let ’em have their fun. It ain’t hurtin’ nobody. And who knows, maybe I’ll even try another one of them quizzes someday. Maybe one about… I don’t know… gardening? Now that’s somethin’ I know a little bit about.
So, there you have it. A little somethin’ about them quizzes for nerds. Hope I explained it alright. Like I said, it’s all a bit foreign to me, but I did my best. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. Them birds need feedin’, and that’s somethin’ I understand a whole lot better than all this nerdy stuff.
