This here story, it’s called “The Giver,” you know. It’s got some tests and quizzes, that’s what I’m gonna tell ya about.
The Giver Tests and Quizzes
That The Giver, it’s a book, I reckon. And folks, they like to make tests about it. Multiple choice, they call ’em. You gotta pick the right answer, see? Like, how many young’uns each family gets. Two, that’s right.
They ask where Jonas’s daddy works. He’s a Nurturer. Takes care of the newchildren. And how old is that Jonas boy when the story starts? He’s eleven, going on twelve. Big year for him, that twelve.
The Giver, That Book, It’s Something
This book, it’s got some strange things in it. Like, how they give memories. One fella, The Giver, he passes ’em on to Jonas. Just by touchin’ him, can you believe it?
- They ask ’bout them memories.
- What kinda memories Jonas gets.
- Some are good, some are bad, like them elephants.
Poor Jonas, he gets a real sad one about them elephant hunters. Makes him all upset. He goes home, tries to tell his folks about real elephants. But they don’t get it. His little sister, Lily, she’s got a toy elephant. He tells her it’s a real animal, once upon a time. She don’t believe him, though.
The Giver Quizzes, They Make You Think
Them tests, they got questions about the rules in that place. The Committee of Elders, they’re the ones in charge. They watch everybody, make notes, decide what job each person gets. They call it an Assignment. Jonas, he’s worried ’cause he don’t know what his will be. His folks, they tell him not to fret. Say it’ll be the right one for him.
One of the quizzes asks about themes. That means the big ideas in the story, you know? Like, how important it is to remember things. And how feelin’s, even the sad ones, are important.
Another quiz, it has ten questions. You know, The Giver has lots of quizzes. All multiple choice. Gotta know about the characters, like that Fiona girl. Jonas, he starts havin’ funny feelin’s for her. His mama, she tells him it’s called the “stirrings.” He’s gotta take a pill every day now, to make ’em stop. Imagine that! No more feelin’s!
The Giver Book, Some Questions, Not Easy
Some questions, they ain’t so easy. Like, why is it so important for them to share their dreams in the book? Or, why does Jonas’ dad have to give one of the twins away? That’s a hard one, that is. But people have The Giver tests and quizzes for 6th grade, that’s young.
Then there’s the question about sameness. Why do they want everything to be the same in that place? No colors, no choices. Seems kinda boring to me. But they think it’s better that way. Keeps things peaceful, they say.
The Giver, All Them Tests
So, yeah, that The Giver, it’s got a lot of tests. People wanna see if you understand the story, I guess. The Giver test practice is also very important. If you read it, you’ll see what I mean. It’s a strange world they got there. Makes you think, that’s for sure.
And them quizzes, they got all sorts of questions. ‘Bout the rules, the people, the memories. Even ’bout that little baby, Gabriel. Jonas, he gets real attached to that little guy. You can see there’re lots of The Giver test study guide on the internet.
I reckon that’s all I gotta say about them tests and quizzes for The Giver. It’s a story that sticks with ya, that’s for sure. Makes you wonder about things. About feelin’s and memories and choices. And whether it’s better to have everything the same, or to have a little bit of… well, a little bit of everything, I suppose. You know, like life.
