Alright, let’s yak about this Enos TV Series DVD thing, ya know? Don’t rightly know why y’all want it on DVD, but I’ll tell ya what I know, or what I heard tell, anyhow.
So, this Enos show, it’s like that Dukes of Hazzard, but with that Enos fella. He’s from Hazzard County, yeah, that’s right, the same place them Duke boys are from. But then he goes off to Los Angeles, big city and all, to be a police officer. Can ya believe it? A country boy in the big city! He done caught some criminals and they give him a job, just like that. He gets himself a partner, a city slicker type, I reckon. It’s supposed to be funny, this show. Action and laughs, they say.
- Started way back in 1980, it did.
- Showed up on CBS, that’s the TV channel, ya see?
- Didn’t last too long, though. Ended in May, same year, I think.
Now, about this DVD thing… that’s where it gets tricky. See, back in the day, DVDs used to have all sorts of extra stuff. Like, scenes they didn’t put in the show, little movies about how they made it, folks talking about the show… all sorts of things. They called ’em bonus features, real fancy-like. You’d pay good money for a DVD and get all that extra stuff. But now, they don’t do that so much anymore. Streaming, they call it. It’s all on the computer now, or on that there internet thingy. No discs to hold, just… poof! It’s there. Weird, ain’t it?
I heard tell you can find information about TV shows on somethin’ called “The Movie Database” or “The TV Database.” Sounds complicated, all this newfangled technology. Back in my day, you watched what was on TV, and that was that. If you missed it, well, too bad! No rewindin’, no recordin’… nothin’. But now, seems like you can watch anything, anytime. Just gotta know where to look, I guess. And gotta have all them gadgets, too. Smart phones, tablets, all that jazz.
Now, here’s the kicker, and I don’t rightly understand it myself, but they say this Enos show, it never got a DVD release. Nope, not a one. Don’t ask me why. Maybe it wasn’t popular enough, maybe they just forgot about it. Who knows? These city folks, they do things their own way. You’d think with all that action and comedy, they’d put it on a DVD. But no, they didn’t.
Makes ya wonder, don’t it? All them other shows, they got DVDs, but not Enos. It’s a shame, really. Folks like to have somethin’ to hold, somethin’ to put on the shelf. Somethin’ real, ya know? But these days, it’s all just… air. Digital air, they call it. You can’t touch it, can’t hold it. Just gotta trust it’s there, somewhere in that there internet thingy.
So, if you’re lookin’ for an Enos TV Series DVD, well, good luck to ya. You might be searchin’ for a long time. Maybe you can find it on one of them computer things, like I said. Or maybe someone, somewhere, has a copy they recorded off the TV back in the day. But an official DVD? Don’t hold your breath, honey. It ain’t lookin’ good. It seems like this Enos show, it’s just… gone. Lost in the shuffle, I reckon. Like a lot of things these days.
And that’s all I know about that Enos TV Series DVD. Not much, I admit. But that’s how it is sometimes. You ask a question, and sometimes the answer is just… there ain’t no answer. Or maybe the answer is just… it’s complicated. This world’s gettin’ too complicated for an old woman like me, I tell ya. Too much technology, too much information. Sometimes I just wish things were simpler, like they used to be.
But, hey, that’s just the way of things, ain’t it? Can’t stop progress, they say. Even if it means no Enos DVD. Just gotta go with the flow, I guess. And maybe watch somethin’ else. There’s plenty of other shows out there, I reckon. Maybe somethin’ with cowboys. I always did like a good cowboy show. Or maybe somethin’ funny. Laughter’s good for the soul, they say. So, there you have it. The long and short of it, as they say. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself some supper. This talkin’s made me hungry.
