Okay, so I’ve been wanting to upgrade my living room setup for a while now, and I finally took the plunge. I decided to get this Landocken 83 TV stand with an electric fireplace, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the experience putting it all together.
First off, I started by looking at a bunch of options online. I knew I wanted something that looked modern but still felt cozy, you know? After comparing a ton of styles, I stumbled upon this one. The combination of the wood-tone top and the dark slate blue cabinet immediately caught my eye. It just looked so classy and I thought that it would fit in perfectly with the rest of my furniture.
When the package arrived, I was pretty excited. I cleared out the old TV stand, which, let’s be honest, had seen better days. Unboxing everything took a bit of time, there were lots of parts, and I laid them all out on the floor. I made sure I had all the pieces and started sorting through the instructions. They were pretty straightforward, but it still took a while to figure out the first few steps.
Assembly
- Start with the base: I began by assembling the base of the TV stand. This involved attaching the side panels to the bottom piece. It was a bit tricky to align everything perfectly, but using the provided tools it went smoothly.
- Add the shelves: Next, I put in the open center shelf. This part was easier, just had to slide it into the slots and secure it with a few screws.
- Attach the top: Putting the wood-tone top on was probably the most satisfying part. It really started to look like a proper TV stand at this point. I made sure it was centered and then screwed it in from the bottom.
- Fireplace time: Now for the main event, the electric fireplace! This part was surprisingly easy to install. I just had to slide the fireplace insert into the designated space and plug it in. There’s a little remote that came with it, which I think is super convenient.
Once everything was assembled, I had to give it a good test run. I plugged in the fireplace, and man, the flames looked so real! There are these realistic logs and glowing embers that just make the whole room feel warm and inviting. Plus, I found out you can use the fireplace with or without heat, which is pretty cool. Just press a button on the remote, and it’s all set. I also tested the heat function, and it warmed up the room pretty quickly. They say it can heat up to 1,000 square feet, which is more than enough for my living room.
Overall, I’m really happy with how it turned out. The stand is sturdy, made with hardwood solids and a mindi veneer, and it looks even better in person than it did online. It’s got this casual contemporary vibe that I love. The dark slate blue finish on the cabinet and shelves is a nice touch, too. This whole setup has definitely elevated my living room, and I’m looking forward to many cozy nights in!
It was quite the project, but seeing the finished product made it all worthwhile. I mean, who doesn’t love a good before-and-after, right? I took a few breaks in between, watched some videos, and made sure not to rush anything. By the end of it, I felt pretty accomplished, like I had really built something substantial.
Anyways if you’re thinking about getting a new TV stand, especially one with a fireplace, I’d say go for it. Just be prepared for a bit of a workout, and make sure you have a friend to help you out if you can. It’s a fun project, and the end result is totally worth it.
