Alright, let’s talk about these WWE superstars action figures. You know, those little plastic fellas my grandkids are always yappin’ about. I swear, they got a whole army of ’em, piled up higher than a haystack in their rooms. Kids these days, they got more toys than a dog has fleas.
So, these figures, they’re supposed to be like them wrestling fellas on the TV. You know, the ones grunting and groaning and slammin’ each other around. My grandkids, they watch that stuff all the time, yellin’ and cheerin’ like they’re at a real fight. I tell ya, it’s enough to give an old lady a headache.
Now, from what I gather, these Mattel WWE toys are a pretty big deal. Seems like they make a figure for just about every wrestler you can think of. My grandson, he’s always braggin’ about how many “John Cenas” he’s got. Says that fella’s the most popular one. Got more figures than a rooster has feathers, I reckon. He told me one time, John Cena has more than 120 different figures, can you imagine? That’s too darn many, what they gonna do with so many, pile up in the house like trash?
They ain’t just plain ol’ figures either. These things, they got movin’ parts, ya know? Arms that go up and down, legs that kick and bend. Some of ’em even got springy action, like they can really punch and clothesline each other. My grandkids spend hours makin’ those little fellas wrestle. It’s better than them running around outside all day, getting dirty and causing trouble, I guess.
And the faces, they look real life-like, too. They call it “TrueFX technology” or somethin’ fancy like that. But all I know is, they look just like those fellas on the TV, even got all their little wrinkles and scars. My granddaughter she pointed out one with swappable heads and hands. Said you can change them out like you are changing clothes, I don’t understand kids’ stuff these days, all these little trinkets.
- Size: Most of these figures are about 6 inches tall. That’s about the size of my hand, I guess.
- Details: They got all sorts of little details, like the wrestlers’ tattoos and their fancy outfits. Some even got belts and other accessories.
- Types: There’s all sorts of different kinds of figures, too. Some are basic, just plain ol’ figures. Others are fancier, with more articulation and accessories. They call some of them “Elite” figures, which means they’re the high-end ones.
You can buy these things just about anywhere, it seems. Grocery stores, toy stores, even online. My son-in-law, he’s always buyin’ them for the grandkids, says it’s better than them bein glued to the tablets all day. And they ain’t cheap, neither. I swear, those little plastic fellas cost more than a good pair of work boots. But If it keeps the kids happy and quiet, I suppose it’s worth it.
They even got these special edition ones, collectibles they call ’em. Folks buy ’em and keep ’em in the box, never even playin’ with ’em. I tell ya, it’s like stamp collectin’ all over again. People will collect just about anything these days. My grandkids told me some old ones from the 1980s look all muscly and you can even twist them into different fighting poses. They have all sorts of accessories too, whatever that means.
And there’s this “*” website, my son-in-law showed me. It’s got all sorts of wrestling stuff, not just figures. Shirts, hats, even belts like the wrestlers wear. It’s a whole world of wrestling stuff. I tell ya, it’s enough to make your head spin.
So, that’s the lowdown on these WWE action figures, as best as I can tell. They are just toys, little plastic men for kids to play with, make them wrestle each other. But they seem to make my grandkids happy, and that’s all that matters, I reckon. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go find my glasses. Those little fellas are scattered all over the floor, and I don’t wanna step on one and break my hip.
And my grandson said those figures are made by Mattel, so it makes sense now, Mattel WWE, that’s what he always told me. He also talks about some other wrestlers like Rey Mysterio, says he is a cool wrestler. I don’t really know who he is, but he is one of my grandson’s favorites. Anyways, I think I’ve said enough about these figures, I need to go make dinner now.
