Alright, let’s talk about these wrestling toys, you know, the WWE superstar figures. My grandkids, they love ’em. Always yellin’ and jumpin’ around, pretendin’ to be this guy or that guy. I tell ya, it’s somethin’ else.
So, these figures, they’re like little dolls, but for wrestlin’. They got all sorts, big ones, small ones. Some are maybe six inches tall, they call it “Superstar Scale,” whatever that means. Kids use ’em to make up their own wrestlin’ matches. Reminds me of when I was young, we used to just wrestle each other in the hayloft! No fancy toys, just good ol’ fashioned fun.
Now, some of these figures, they got all sorts of fancy stuff. Like, you can change their heads and hands. I guess that’s so you can make ’em do different moves or somethin’. And they got accessories too. Belts, chairs, all the stuff you see on TV. My grandson, little Mikey, he’s got a whole box full of ’em. Spends hours playin’ with them things. Drives his momma crazy, all that noise.
- Different sizes: Some are big, some are small, just like real people I guess.
- Swappable parts: Heads and hands, you can mix and match ’em.
- Accessories: Belts, chairs, even little microphones. Like they’re really gonna talk, ha!
They even got these old-timey ones, like from the 80s. I remember those days, when wrestling was real, or at least we thought it was. These figures, they look kinda chunky and muscular, not like the real skinny guys they got now. But the kids, they don’t care. They just like smashin’ ’em together, makin’ ’em fight.
And then there’s the rings, you know, the little wrestling rings they play in. Some even have bouncy floors, they call ’em “spring-loaded mats”. And tight ropes, so the figures can bounce off ’em. They even got stickers, so you can decorate the ring, make it look fancy. It’s a whole production, I tell ya. My granddaughter, little Susie, she likes to decorate the ring more than Mikey, she makes it look all pretty.
Now, some wrestlers, they got a whole lotta figures. Like that John Cena fella. Apparently, he’s got, what, a hundred and twenty different figures? That’s a lot of dolls, I tell ya. Guess he’s popular or somethin’. Then there’s this Cody Rhodes fella, and that Roman Reigns, they’re popular too, always sellin’ lots of toys. And that Undertaker guy, he’s spooky, but the kids like him.
I don’t get it half the time, all the different names and moves. But the kids, they know it all. They watch it on TV, then they act it out with their figures. It keeps ’em busy, I guess. Better than runnin’ around outside gettin’ into trouble.
Mattel, that’s the company that makes most of these figures, I think. They must make a fortune, sellin’ all these toys to kids all over the world. Well, good for them, I guess. Keeps folks employed. And keeps my grandkids outta my hair for a few hours, which is a blessin’ in itself.
So, yeah, that’s the deal with these WWE superstar figures. Little plastic people that let kids pretend to be their favorite wrestlers. It’s a whole different world from when I was young, but I guess kids will always find a way to play and have fun. And as long as they ain’t breakin’ nothin’ important, I reckon it’s alright.
One thing’s for sure, they got a whole lot more choices now than we ever did. Back in my day, we had maybe one or two dolls, and that was it. Now, these kids got boxes full of ’em. Times sure have changed.
So, if you got kids, or grandkids, and they like wrestling, you can be sure they’ll want some of these WWE superstar figures. Just be prepared to step on ’em in the middle of the night, cause they always leave ’em scattered all over the floor!
