Alright, folks, gather ’round, gather ’round! Today, I wanna talk about something that got me all riled up – the 2023 release of WWE Donruss Elite. Yeah, you heard that right, the wrestling cards. Now, I’ve been collecting these things since I was a little guy, and let me tell you, the anticipation for this one was killin’ me.
First things first, I had to figure out when these bad boys were droppin’. So, I hit up the internet, like any sane person would do. I tried searchin’ on those search engine thingies, but nothin’ useful shown up.
Then, I remembered this website, somethin’ about “WrestlingTradingCards”. They always have the good stuff on there. It’s like, the best source for this kinda thing, all the checklists and whatnot. Typed it into the ol’ computer, and bam! There it was, clear as day: “WWE Donruss Elite 2023”.
So, I started diggin’ deeper. This set, oh boy, it’s a doozy. We’re talkin’ all the big names – The Rock, Stone Cold, John Cena, you name it. And the designs? Forget about it! They’re flashier than a Ric Flair robe, all shiny and colorful. I was practically droolin’ just lookin’ at the pictures.
- I marked the date on my calendar.
- I set like five alarms on my phone.
- I even told the wife to remind me, just in case.
When the day finally came, I was more excited than a kid on Christmas morning. I rushed down to my local card shop, the one with the owner who always wears that same beat-up Hulk Hogan t-shirt. I walked in, and there they were, stacked up high, just waitin’ for me.
I grabbed a few packs, paid the man, and practically ran home. Tore those packs open like a wild animal. And you know what? It was worth it. Pulled some sweet cards, including a numbered Randy Orton that’s now the centerpiece of my collection. It was a good day, a real good day.
