Alright, let’s talk about this WWE Slam Attax Rebellion thing, ya know? I ain’t no expert, but I’ll tell ya what I know. It’s like, a bunch of cards with wrestlers on ’em. You got yer John Cenas, yer Rock, all them fellas. And they ain’t just standin’ around, they’re smackin’ each other, just like on TV, only on these shiny little cardboard things.
Now, they call it a “collection,” which sounds fancy, but it just means ya gotta get a whole bunch of ’em. Hundreds, they say! 368 cards, can ya believe it? Sounds like a lot of work to me. And they got these “starter packs” too, so ya can, well, start, I guess. Like buyin’ a whole mess of trouble, if you ask me.
They got different kinds, too. Some are “limited edition,” which means they’re, I don’t know, special? Maybe they sparkle more, or maybe they got a fella’s autograph on ’em. And then they got these “deluxe starter packs.” Deluxe! Sounds like somethin’ a city slicker would buy. Probably costs an arm and a leg, but hey, if you got the money, go for it.
- First thing, they say, ya gotta pick yer wrestler.
- Look at his “defense” and his “attack,” whatever that means.
- Then ya pick yer best nine cards and start playin’.
Playin’, huh? It ain’t like real wrestlin’, that’s for sure. Ya put the cards down, face down, then flip ’em over. And there’s some “object cards” too, like chairs or ladders, I guess. Sounds complicated, but I bet the young’uns figure it out quick enough.
They got these “ratings” too. Like, how good the cards are, I reckon. And ya can “rate” the sets, like if you liked ’em or not. It’s all on the internet now, ya know. Everything’s on the internet. I still like lookin’ at pictures in the newspaper, myself.
And these cards, they ain’t cheap, I bet. Especially them shiny ones. They call ’em “parallels” sometimes. Shiny title belts and all that. Sounds like somethin’ my grandson would spend all his allowance on. And then he’d be comin’ to me, beggin’ for more. Kids these days!
They got all these different years too, like 2012 and 2021. So, ya gotta keep track of which ones ya got, I guess. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss to me. But hey, if it keeps the kids outta trouble, maybe it ain’t so bad. At least they ain’t out there runnin’ around, gettin’ into mischief.
I heard you can buy these things on Amazon, too. Amazon! They sell everything on there now, don’t they? From soup to nuts, as they say. And now wrestlin’ cards. Well, I never. The world’s changin’ so fast, I can barely keep up.
So, what’s the big deal about WWE Slam Attax Rebellion? Well, it’s a bunch of cards with wrestlers on ’em. Ya collect ’em, ya trade ’em, ya play games with ’em. It’s like baseball cards, but with muscles and spandex. And it seems like there’s a whole lot of different cards and sets to keep track of. If you’re into that sort of thing, I guess it’s fun. Me? I’ll stick to watchin’ the real wrestlin’ on TV. It’s louder, and you don’t have to squint to see what’s going on.
But hey, to each their own, right? If those young’uns wanna spend their money on these cards, let ’em. Just as long as they don’t expect me to understand all them fancy rules and ratings.
