You see, that WWE thing, it’s comin’ to Worcester, MA in 2024. July 12th, 2024, Friday, that’s the day. My grandson, he told me all about it. He’s a big fan of that WWE Smackdown. He says, “Grandma, you gotta see these big fellas throw each other around!”
Well, I ain’t never seen nothin’ like it before. I tell you, that WWE live event, it’s gonna be at the DCU Center. That’s what they call it, the DCU Center in Worcester. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Just a big ol’ buildin’, I reckon. July 12th, mind you. A Friday. Good for a night out, I suppose.
My grandson, he’s all excited. He says they got tickets. WWE tickets, he calls ’em. Some website, Stub-somethin’, I don’t recall. He says they got tickets for the event. Lots of folks gonna be there, he says. He wants me to go. Imagine that, me at a WWE show!
He showed me pictures on his phone. Big, strong men, all muscled up. They jump and they holler. Reminds me of my old rooster, always fightin’. But these fellas, they do it for show. WWE Smackdown, that’s it. That’s what he keeps sayin’. Sounds like a ruckus, if you ask me. Friday Night Smackdown: Worcester is the name they use.

I told him, “Boy, I don’t know about all that jumpin’ and yellin’.” But he’s so excited, I might just go. Just to see what all the fuss is about. WWE in Worcester, who would have thought? It is a big event. They say it will be full of people. My grandson said around 9,344 people. That is a lot of people.
He says they got all kinds of these WWE live events. Monday Night Raw, somethin’ called NXT 2.0, WrestleMania… sounds like a made-up word to me. And Royal Rumble, SummerSlam. Lordy, the names they come up with! All part of that WWE, I guess. They do the show everywhere, not only Worcester.
He keeps talkin’ about this WWE Speed. Another one of them shows, I reckon. Says it’s gonna be in Worcester, Massachusetts, on July 12th, too. Same day as that Smackdown. Busy day for them WWE folks, I suppose. Two shows one day, can you believe it?
My grandson is so excited about the full match. He says it is the best show ever. I don’t know what that means. Is it a game? But he is happy, so I am happy. If you want to go, you can buy the tickets. But I don’t know where. My grandson bought them.
He says there’s a place called viagogo, where folks buy and sell tickets. Like a swap meet, but for WWE Smackdown tickets. Imagine that! This DCU Center, it’s at 50 Foster St, Worcester, 01608. That’s what he told me. Sounds like a place in the city. And you need to pay for parking. They start to charge at 8 a.m.. Better be early then.
Well, I don’t know if I’ll be any good at watchin’ all that wrasslin’. But for my grandson, I’ll give it a try. WWE Worcester MA 2024, it’s gonna be somethin’, I reckon. Maybe I’ll even enjoy it. You never know. These young folks, they like some strange things. But maybe it’ll be fun to see those big ol’ fellas throw each other around. Just hope nobody gets hurt. That’s all I care about.
